Introduction / History

The Baca live in the Savanna plains in the Bongo village. Bongo is part of the Bokito subdivision, Mbam division in the central province of Cameroon.

What Are Their Lives Like?

The Baca are agriculturalists who sell their products to the local population. They have an adequate water supply, and one dispensary provides medical supplies in the village. Some schools have been started to educate the Baca children.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The Baca are very receptive to missionaries. They now have a Catholic church in the area, and the Assemblies of God has also planted a church there. The Scriptures are available to them in French and Ewondo but not in the Nubaca language.

What Are Their Needs?

There is no active literacy program among them.

Prayer Points

Pray for the Holy Spirit to do wonderful things among the Bango people, and for hundreds to be drawn to the cross.
Pray for them to put their faith in Jesus Christ and lose faith in the spirit world.
Pray there will soon come a day when Bango disciples make more disciples.
