Introduction / History

Emok is a language of Paraguay’s Chaco region. Very few people still speak it.

What Are Their Lives Like?

We know very little about the lives of the Emok people. Most likely they are learning Spanish as their language dies out.

What Are Their Beliefs?

About two thirds of the Emok people are Christian, mostly Roman Catholic. Some are Evangelical. They might also engage in indigenous religious practices.

What Are Their Needs?

The Emok people live in a rural area where adequate medical care is hard to obtain.

Prayer Points

Pray for the Emok people to have the spiritual hunger it takes to allow Jesus Christ to transform their families and communities into his image.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to lead the Emok people into a time of spiritual and economic prosperity.
Pray for Emok disciples who will disciple many others.
