Introduction / History

The primary language of the Kreda people is Dazaga.

Where Are they Located?

The Kreda people only live in Chad.

What Are Their Lives Like?

The Kreda people are nomadic, so they have few possessions, which they keep in simple, portable tents. They live in a land where there are few trees, some bushes, and not much else in the way of vegetation. They have to go to wells to get their water. Women and girls use these wells to fill yellow containers with water, which they take home using donkeys as beasts of burden. The men ride camels. The Kreda people in Chad interact with other ethnic groups, specifically Arab and Daza peoples. Usually these interactions are peaceful.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The primary religion practiced by the Kreda people is Islam, a monotheistic religion built around the teachings of the Koran and of the prophet Mohammad. Like most African Muslims, the Kreda people depend on the spirits more than they do Allah for their daily needs.

Prayer Points

Pray that efforts to reach the Kreda people will result in a vibrant disciple making movement that will bless their communities and glorify the King of kings.
Pray for spiritual hunger among the Kreda people.
Pray for believers to faithfully pray for the Kreda people until they are reached for Christ.
