Introduction / History

The Piedmontese are a people who live in Piedmont, a region of northwestern Italy. They have their own language which gets mistaken for an Italian dialect.

What Are Their Lives Like?

The Piedmontese live in a very rich area. There are lush vineyards for those who work in agriculture. This is the region where Italy produces many of their automobiles including the Fiat and the Lamborghini. This is also a tourist destination, so some work in the tourist industry.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Like the other ethnic groups native to the Italian Peninsula, the Piedmontese are Roman Catholic. Many are secularized, but the Catholic church is still the place to be married and buried.

What Are Their Needs?

The Piedmontese need a Christ-centered theology. As it stands, they look to a religious institution or to themselves to find life’s answers.

Prayer Points

Pray for the Piedmontese to have enough spiritual hunger that they seek and find the living Christ.
Pray for Piedmontese disciples to make more disciples.
Pray for a spiritual revival to deeply affect the Catholic Church in Italy.
