The Maniyattikkaran people of India are unengaged and unreached. It is believed they are part of the Tamil language cluster. Though Hindus are in the majority among Tamil speakers, there is a large Christian presence among them as well.

The Maniyattikkaran people live in Tamil Nadu, a state in southeastern India. This is also the only area where cluster of Maniyattikkaran resides.

What Are Their Lives Like?

There is no formal report describes the Maniyattikkaran. Based on the geographic location of Tamil Nadu which is along the eastern coast line of India. This area is notably well developed in its urban economic structure compares to the rest of the country. For the past few centuries until now, it's seaports attracts both tourists and foreign power. Under the British Colonial rule, its transportation network and educational system are fully established. It has colleges and schools specifically for women which many of them hold professional college degree such as medical, engineering
