Introduction / History

One source claims the Patnulkaran are medicant Brahmans.

Where Are they Located?

This small Hindu community lives in southern Tamil Nadu.

What Are Their Lives Like?

It is said they live in the streets like wandering medicants or Hindu pilgrims.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The Patnulkaran people believe in a number of omens. Seeing a pot full of water, a married woman or gold are all good omens. Bad omens include seeing someone who is disabled or a barber. Pickaxes, brooms and fans are bad omens.

What Are Their Needs?

The Patnulkarans need to put their faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Prayer Points

Pray for families of Patnulkaran believers loving and serving others to grow reproducing churches.
Pray for a chain reaction of Patnulkaran families reaching families that results in thousands of new believers who share their faith with others.
Pray for grace and truth expanding into the entire Patnulkaran society as all believers learn to love others.
Pray that churches and believers will bless their entire people group in such a way that God's love will change the Patnulkaran people like yeast changes dough.
