Introduction / History

The Canamomo are an indigenous people in Colombia. Few, if any, still speak their original language. Most speak Spanish.

What Are Their Lives Like?

The Canamomos are subsistence farmers who grow coffee, sugarcane, corn, beans and vegetables. Some raise livestock. When they are pressed for time to compete a harvest, they call neighbors and family members to help.

What Are Their Beliefs?

They are Christianized, mostly Roman Catholic like the Colombian majority. There are also Evangelicals among them.

What Are Their Needs?

The Canamomos need to embrace the gospel in all its fulness. They need to put Jesus first.

Prayer Points

Pray for Canamomo family leaders to put Jesus first and to teach their children to do the same.
Pray for Canamomo disciples to disciple others.
Pray for Canamomo churches to exhibit the fruit of the Holy Spirit, drawing others to the Lord.
Pray for the Lord to abundantly provide for the Canamomo as a testimony of his goodness and power.
