Introduction

Tai Laing are mainly known for their language rather than as a people group. Their main sources of income are through rice and vegetable farming along with fishing. Their meat supply comes from their livestock and fishing.

Ministry Obstacles

Tai Laing people are mostly Buddhist. They visit Buddhist temples and have a deep-rooted fear of spirits that causes them to be spiritually closed. They also worship and accommodate many spirits that demand offerings and sacrifices. They are fearful of looking outside Buddhism for spiritual truth.
