The Lamira people group is a small tribe in the remote Nuba Mountains in the state of South Kordofan, Sudan.

What Are Their Lives Like?

They grow their own corn and sorghum and eat the meat and drink the milk of their livestock.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Most of the Lamira people are Muslim. They are still bound by tribal religion.

What Are Their Needs?

Roads are almost non-existent in this area, and transportation of goods and services is a challenge, especially in the rainy season. They have no known schools or health care facilities.
