The Karhade (Karada) Brahmins in India mainly speak Marathi and Konkani. They live in India’s western states, especially Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka.
Karhada Brahmins are known for being good engineers and have maintained their skills in water cultivation and irrigation techniques. Many developed betel nut orchards. Their Brahmin status has allowed them to enter many professional and business vocations.
The Karhada Brahmins are noted for participating in music and other art forms. They are also noted for being excellent chefs, according to Wikipedia. Most live in southern and western India.
Arya Durga is their main deity, and they keep an elegant statue of her in their temples. Karhada Brahmins believe that Arya Durga shines like the sun and gives them many treasures. Some believe she can dwell on the sun and that any radiance here on earth comes from her. They also believe in Shakti, the personification of God's energy through a female figure.
Most likely there is not a Christ follower among them. They cannot even find out about the only savior without looking outside their community.
Pray the Karhada Brahmins will learn that Jesus is the Light of the World, who can bless them far more than any goddess. Pray they will seek and find him.
Pray for Holy Spirit anointed workers to go to the Karhada and other Brahmin subgroups.
Pray for supernatural encounters with the Lord that will draw Karhada people to the throne of grace.
